College basketball signing day: MSU gets two ESPN Top 100 players, Derrick Nix and Garrick Sherman, both centers ranked among the top 10 centers by Rivals. State went big to replace outgoing frontcourt seniors Goran Suton, Marquise Gray, and Idong Ibok. (Garrick and Derrick, same position, same class . . . should be fun.) And another four-star recruit could join them.

Michigan, meanwhile, signed four guys: forward Jordan Morgan, point guard Darius Morris; two-guard Matt Vogrich; and center Blake McLimans. The big name is Morris, from Los Angeles.

Michigan 76, Northeastern 56. Another monster game from Manny Harris (26 points, 10 rebounds, 8 assists), another UM victory, and the Wolverines advance to the third round of the 2K Sports Classic. Box.
